Smart Order Mapping
Ensure every field lands in the right place.
W3 Connect includes an intelligent order mapping engine that transforms your source system's data into MaxOptra's required format automatically and consistently.
Different systems store data in different structures. W3 Connect bridges that gap by mapping, transforming and validating each field before it is sent to MaxOptra, ensuring clean, usable and predictable data every time.
What Smart Order Mapping Does
Smart Order Mapping defines how data from your ERP, WMS, CRM or other system maps to MaxOptra fields.
This includes:
- Standard order fields
- Address and contact details
- Service and product codes
- Time windows and delivery constraints
- Custom fields and references
Mappings are configurable per integration.
Data Transformation
W3 Connect can transform data as part of the mapping process.
Examples include:
- Converting formats (dates, numbers, text)
- Splitting or combining fields
- Applying default values
- Normalising codes and descriptions
This allows systems with very different structures to integrate reliably.
Custom Fields Supported
If you use custom fields in MaxOptra, W3 Connect can populate them automatically.
Typical uses:
- Business unit or depot identifiers
- Customer types
- Special handling instructions
- Internal references
Custom fields can be added and mapped without changing core platform code.
Validation Before Sending
Before data is submitted to MaxOptra:
- Required fields are checked
- Values are validated
- Errors are logged if detected
This prevents bad data entering the planning system.
Per-Client & Per-System Mappings
Mappings can differ by:
- Client
- Source system
- Integration module
This allows a single W3 Connect installation to support multiple customers and workflows.
The Result
- Consistent data structure
- Fewer integration errors
- Faster onboarding of new systems
- Predictable behaviour inside MaxOptra
